LOCALLY ROASTED COFFEE

PROJECT'S COFFEE IS ETHICALLY SOURCED, ORGANICALLY GROWN AND ROASTED RIGHT IN THE HEART OF SARASOTA

Our coffee is organically grown and sustainably sourced from small coffee farms in Ethiopia, Peru and Colombia. We serve a rotating lineup of regular and decaf coffee at Kompose Hotel Sarasota.
The regular coffee that we currently serve is from "CAFE CAPITAN", Chiapas, Mexico (1400-1700 MASL). We taste DARK CHOCOLATE, BAKED APPLE and SWEET SPICES.

CAFE CAPITAN is about two years old. At the point of inception, they broke off from a larger umbrella cooperative to work on pursuing higher quality and deliver higher premiums to farmers. This coffee is certified organic.
The decaffeinated coffee is from "SAN CRISTOBAL", Mexico (1400 MASL). We taste CACAO and RED FRUIT.

This coffee is decaffeinated in Mexico through the Mountain Water Process (MWP), a unique method of indirect decaffeination. The pure water from Pico de Orizaba, the highest mountain in Mexico, is chemically tested to find the optimal conditions for MWP. Our exclusive Mexico San Cristóbal de las Casas & Yajalón Single Origin Decaf is renowned for its balanced and smooth cup, featuring large beans and a pleasant medium sweet acidity.
